is back! As I've said before, he's my favorite blogger, though we disagree on a lot of issues. I know this is going to sound like self-aggrandizement, and I apologize for that, but the fact is that I don't read many liberal blogs. Yglesias's, in fact, is the only one I read regularly. (I may be the only fan of blogs alive who has never read a post on DailyKos, Talking Points memo, or the Huffington post.) I don't say that to brag about my heterodoxy or commitment to listening to other points of view; it's really just a function of the fact that I read blogs to get my dander up, and I only really enjoy them when I find something to vehemently disagree with. (It's true, however, that I read almost exclusively reform-conservative blogs. I do spend some time at the Corner when Ramesh Ponnuru has something interesting to say or I'm feeling masochistic.)
It's important, though, to recharge your batteries by reading something from your ideological counterparts, and it's best when that person is as bright as Matt is. It's cool to have him back, though I miss the far more elegant layout that he had at the Atlantic or his previous self-published iteration.
In perhaps related news, people have been expressing disappointment with my recent output. I'll try to be better, but who knows.

I concur on TPM, HuffPost, and DKos, finding them all chaotic and unfulfilling. Perhaps I'm biased, but I find a lot more interesting though and analysis on reform conservative blogs these days. Though, a movement's nadir status can provoke more thoughtful reflection.
I've liked Matt since beginning to read blogs on a semi-full-time basis for his willingness to challenge liberal sacred cows when he sees it as necessary. Such commitment to intellectual integrity and honesty is rare, to be sure. Here's hopign he continues that tradition at Think Progress.
I would suggest at least TPM on the basis that it is a left leaning news source rather than a pure blog.
